Yoga & Pilates - Will Travel

Hi, how ahh ya?—I’m in Ogunquit, Maine! It means beautiful place by the sea. I am finishing up my quest to visit all 50 states and this is my first stop. This trip, I’ll also be staying in New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

I’ve noticed while traveling just how much I enjoy the experience of being in a new place—learning a bit of history, taking in the scenery, and opening myself up to something different. I also love that yoga and Pilates can come with me as I pass through these places. It’s nice to have a something familiar when so much is new.

Well, I do have one exception: Wednesday. I couldn’t (wouldn’t?) pack my stability ball in my luggage so Vicki is teaching on Wednesday. And, in case you didn’t know this about me, I’m the carry-on-only type, lol.

I realize that I don’t need my usual studio, my favorite mat, or even a lot of space. I can practice in a hotel room, outside, by the water, or wherever I find a little room to move and breathe. That’s one of the gifts of yoga and Pilates—they travel well and wherever I am, bring me back to the moment.

So as I visit these last five states, I’m thinking about how I can bring a little yoga and Pilates into each place and I’d love to have you come along. Join me on Monday and Tuesday (the autumnal equinox), and Vicki on Wednesday and Thursday. We’re sure to have a great week, thanks!

C-ya on the mat!
