There's Always Room on the Mat

I can’t speak for you but I’ve been feeling a little tender as I watch the goodbyes, the tributes, and the memorials to Dolly Parton. Whether you were a fan of her music or not, it’s hard to lose someone who seemed to bring so much light, laughter, music, generosity, and positive energy into the world.

But if Dolly taught us anything, it’s that even when life gets a little heavy, there’s always room for a song, a smile, a little compassion—and maybe some very big hair.

So this week, I want to lean into the things that help us feel a little lighter: showing up, moving our bodies, taking a deep breath, and being together.

Our Pilates and yoga classes are more than just workouts. They’re a place to exhale, reconnect, laugh when we wobble (maybe that’s what causes the wobble?), and remember that we’re part of something bigger than ourselves. Some days we come to class to get stronger and other days we come because we need somewhere to put the feelings.Either way, there’s always room on the mat.

So grab your pink (like this newsletter), find your props, channel a little Dolly, and come move with us. We’ll stretch, strengthen, breathe—and maybe leave with a little more sparkle than we arrived with. After all, while we can’t be Dolly… we can all bring a little more kindness, joy, and rhinestone energy into the world. See you in class!
