Sixty Years
Here’s the best news of the week: Vicki is teaching Monday’s Yoga for Flexibility, Strength and Balance class. Second best news: Momence links have been tested and everything is working!
This week, my parents celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, and it's had me thinking about the many versions of ourselves we become through the years.
In yoga, we call it abhyasa—steady, devoted practice. It's never been about perfection. It's about showing up, again and again, with patience, presence, and an open mind and an open heart.
I think about all the seasons of my parents’ lives—and how each one has shaped the people they are today. None of us stays the same. We are constantly evolving, shaped by every stage, every challenge, and every joy.
A lasting marriage, like a yoga practice, isn't built in a day. It's created through small, consistent acts of love, grace, forgiveness, and commitment. It's choosing to return—to each other, and to ourselves - moment to moment, day after day, week after week.
As you step onto your mat this week, honor the person you are today, knowing that every experience, every challenge, and every chapter has brought you here.
So, thank you for coming back to the mat, choosing to move your body, breathe deeply, and grow stronger with me. I'm so grateful to be part of your journey and appreciate if you’d share this with anyone interested in joining us!
Wishing you a beautiful week, both on and off the mat, cheers!
