Labor Day

As we celebrate the unofficial end of Summer known as Labor Day, we’re reminded that Monday honors the labor movement and the contributions of workers — the people whose dedication and everyday work helps keep communities moving forward.

But let’s also take a moment to appreciate a different kind of work: the work your body does for you. Every. Single. Day.

Your body carries groceries, collects and delivers donations, does the laundry, mows the lawn — and gets you through errands, volunteer hours, organizing, meal prep, and all the little (and not so little) things that fill our days.

This Labor Day, pause and give your body some care in return. Honor your body through movement.

Yoga and Pilates invite us to work with intention, not simply work harder.

  • Yoga helps us breathe, stretch, release tension, and reconnect.

  • Pilates builds strength, stability, balance, and body awareness.

  • Rest reminds us that our bodies need restoration, too.

Celebrate the contributions of workers — and honor your body for all the work it does. Join Vicki or me on the mat and tell your friends to join us as well! WE all deserve the opportunity to take a breath, move with intention and rest when needed.
